Acting on the lifelong dream of being a farmer, Rollie Knoke, with his wife Sheila, established Sharon Rose Farm in 1999.
Dedicated to respecting God's creation, Rollie set out to work his farm with the most environmentally sound practices. Rollie understood that farming in harmony with nature was not only possible but was the most effective approach to agriculture - some things just can't be improved on.
Intensive herd rotation, complimentary herd blending and other natural methods resulted in better tasting meats and a truly sustainable approach. Unlike the commonly hyped "sustainable" concepts, Rollie's approach improved on the ideas of "organic" and "free-range" and offered the consumer a truly unique and honest alternative.
Today, Sharon Rose Farm is the protocol test-bed and model farm for Native Meats. Combining Rollie's concept for righteous farming and a dedication to local family farms, Native Meats has grown into the marketing and distribution network that brings to market products that are locally grown and produced but that are also raised and produced according to natural and sustainable protocols. The farming techniques that Rollie employes are proving that practices which respect nature are viable, profitable and healthier than the massive mechanized operations that commonly provide the meat you eat.
